Terms and Conditions

For the Parents

Strictly no access into Holmwood House School and Grounds

Parents/Guardians are to be responsible for their children outside the pool area including

siblings who should be supervised at all times.

No Food to be consumed on the poolside and in the changing rooms.

No outdoor footwear to be worn on poolside

No jewellery to be worn in the pool and long hair to be tied back or wear a swimming hat.

Following sickness or diarrhoea children should be clear of symptoms for 48 hours prior to

attendance of their swimming lesson.

Strictly no photographs.

 

Teaching

Our swimming teachers are only responsible for pupils during their lessons.

Parents/Guardians are responsible before the start and immediately after their lesson.

Classes may be changed due to supply and demand, we will notify you in advance about

any changes.

We kindly ask parents/guardians not to distract the children during their lesson.

Some children will be upset, all our teachers are trained to look after crying children,we may

ask for your input, but we will endeavor to calm your child without parental intervention

where possible.

(There will be an amount of manual handling involved during the lesson, this is to ensure the

correct body position is attained and to help aid limbs through the correct pathway.) this only

applies in a non Covid environment.

 

Payments & Enrolments

Places cannot be reserved without full payment.

Swimming lessons must be pre booked and paid for before the start of each course.

On booking please advise Keep on Swimming if there are any medical conditions which we

need to be aware of or any history that again may affect your child in his/her lessons. Should

there be any changes that again could affect your child’s behavior during swimming lessons

please make the teacher aware at the beginning of the lesson.

All classes are calculated on a termly basis, if your first lesson starts mid term you will pay

for the remaining weeks left in the current term.

During the final 3 weeks of your block of lessons you will be sent email reminders for the

next payment for the following term.

 

Pool Closure & Cancelled Lessons

In the unlikely event of pool closure, Keep on Swimming will make every attempt to contact

swimmers as soon as possible.

Upon this happening you will be offered an alternative time or a refund.

 

Refunds

Refunds for lessons can be made within 7 days of making the booking. This will be subject

to a £10 administration fee.

Refund credits can be transferred to other swimmers.

Refunds will not be given for holidays and illness.

Prolonged illness, such as; Broken bones and grommets etc will be given, but must be

accompanied by a medical note issued by a medical professional.

 

Liability

Keep on Swimming will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury whilst parking,

transferring to the pool or on the pool premises.

 

GDPR

Under the terms GDPR we will only keep your contact details on file whilst your child is currently in lessons with Keep on Swimming, your details will not be shared with any third party.

If any of your details change eg, address or telephone number please notify us as soon as possible.

1.2 This website may be used for your own private purposes and in accordance with these terms and conditions.

1.3 You may print and download material from this website provided that you do not modify or reproduce any content without our prior written consent.

Website uptime

1.4 All reasonable measures are taken by us to ensure that this website is operational all day, every day. However, occasionally technical issues may result in some downtime and accordingly we will not be liable if this website is unavailable at any time.

1.5 Where possible we always try to give advance warning of maintenance issues that may result in website down time but we shall not be obliged to provide such notice.

Visitor provided material

1.6 Any material that a visitor to this website sends or posts to this website shall be considered non-proprietary and non confidential. We shall be entitled to copy, disclose, distribute or use for such other purpose as we deem appropriate all material provided to us, with the exception of personal information, the use of which is covered under our Privacy Policy.
