Children Swim School. Swimming lessons Colchester, Holmwood House and at White Colne, Whites Farm
Parent/Carers to arrive 5 mins prior to the lesson to queue at the marked entry point. They
will then be escorted onto the poolside by a member of staff. Anyone arriving after their
lesson starts will unfortunately not be able to enter the building.
All swimmers must shower at home and turn up “Beach ready” (swimwear under either
onesie or dressing gown) for their lesson, as they will not be permitted to use the changing
rooms before the start of their session, so cleaning can take place.
Changing rooms will be available to use after, however we would encourage swimmers to be
dried off and put back into their onesies or dressing gowns to return home. This is to reduce
the amount of time spent in the changing rooms.
Each swimmer will be issued a letter, which will correlate with their designated changing
Where possible we would ask if only one parent/carer to accompany your child due to social
For trace and track purposes we are required to have contact details of who is bringing your
child swimming each week. For ease, we ask you to provide a list of possible adults who
could be bringing them swimming. We can then note on our register who has brought your
child each week.
Although not our preferred position for new/young swimmers, we are required at this time to
teach from the poolside and may ask the children to wear aids in the water .Lessons will be
structured to ensure social distancing within the water where possible. Obviously our
swimmers safety is paramount and should it be required we would not hesitate to get into the
All hats and goggles must be fitted and adjusted by either the child or the adult bringing them
swimming, as we will need to maintain social distancing.
